Introducing: Bits to Atoms
Rebuilding the industrial talent pipeline in the United States to accelerate reindustrialization.
What is Bits to Atoms?
We work with exceptional people to get roles at the most mission-driven companies that are accelerating US reindustrialization.
Why are building Bits to Atoms?
BLUF: We need more people focusing on innovation in the world of atoms (physical technology) versus in the world of bits (software), and we are accelerating this social transition.
Too many people today go into consulting, finance, and other careers that lack depth or meaning.
To be blunt, the world has far too many problems for this to be an acceptable outcome. If Western civilization is to prosper in the 21st century, it will be because a critical mass of people chose abundance over stagnation and decline.
To create a future of abundance, we must accelerate the companies working to rebuild US manufacturing capacity. To achieve this objective, we need a robust pipeline of exceptional talent to ensure that the right people with the will and skills to succeed are never the limiting factor in building a more prosperous future.
How do we rebuild the industrial talent pipeline in the US?
Rebuilding the industrial talent base won’t be easy — decades of national economic policy oriented towards shifting the greatest manufacturing economy in the world into a services economy won’t be undone in a short period of time.
However, we have a very clear execution plan that we are repeating consistently from a local to a national scale to accelerate America’s reindustrialization:
Partner with mission-driven companies who are actively hiring.
Create a network of exceptional individuals seeking meaningful work.
For each individual, find the roles best suited to their passions, values, and experiences.
If they have the will and the skill to succeed in the role, get them hired ASAP.
If they have the will but not the skills to succeed in the role, we will coordinate and finance their training to ensure they get hired for a role in which they are set up for success.
Repeat Steps 1 - 5 above until we have an abundance of skilled technical talent in the United States to ensure that industrial growth is limited only by financial or engineering constraints, not talent constraints.
How do we make money?
We match people to roles for free, and make money filling skill gaps and building out talent pipelines for specialized requirements.
Our process is outlined in more detail below:
We match people in our network with companies for free.
If a company requires very specific training needs that are not covered in our free tier, we can work out a custom enterprise agreement.
For example, we have partnered with a composites manufacturing startup to ensure they have a robust pipeline of engineers and technicians ready to go before they need to hire.
This is crucial for an industry with very niche, hard-to-find skills, where hiring and training is often the key bottleneck for expansion; and training after hiring can put companies months behind schedule.
Such delays are unacceptable, so we have stepped in to fill the gap.
If a job seeker requires very specific training for a role they are passionate about but not qualified for yet, we finance their training upfront. Once they get hired, we are paid back on an installment basis over two years by the job seeker.
